First time up this one and really enjoyed it. The trail is nice and clear and the grade is very pleasant the whole way up. We met the watchtower resident on his final trip down for the season. He was not yet sure whether he was happy or not to be done for the season. It was breezy and chilly at the top and the aspens were nice and yellow. We had really great timing. They were supposed to start burning down near the trailhead on Thursday but the wind has made them hold off. A small fire crew was at the TH doing some work with the chainsaws. I would recommend anyone planning on hitting Kendrick soon to call the ranger station first.
