All I can say is fun, fun and more fun! :y:
Felt like I spent the day in an adult size jungle gym!
The White Box Narrows are just straight up spectacular and way more interesting that I expected! I mean from the pictures I've seen and triplogs I read they seemed unique but nothing compared to the incredible feeling of actually swimming through and beneath the massive canyon walls themselves.

Upon reaching the Hanging Gardens I was at a lost for words, I guess "Heaven on Earth" would be the only way properly describe that area. Truly did look like a slice of some sort of tropical paradise in the area of the powerful spring! So much lush green vegetation it made my head spin! The only bad part is that we arrived at the HG at 3pm so I knew we had to head back within a few hours not to mention I was dreading the icy cold canyon water since it would be a completely sunless swim back along with the combo of high of only 65° that day! The late afternoon sun made it almost impossible to get a solid long exposure shot of the falls even with my neutral density filters! So I'm a little bummed I didn't get the photos I wanted but that's due to my foolish mistake of getting a very late start to the trip due to aftermath of some late night shenanigans.
With that being said a backpacking trip is due in the very near future at HG so I can capture some early morning and late evening light as well as actually enjoy and relax in that magical place.

We did not leave the Hanging Garden until 5:30pm!!! The worried look on my partners face was priceless
As I was calmly taking my final photos she was frantic with the thought of the swim back and not making it out of the canyon before dark but I reassured her not to worry, we got this, even though I honestly wasn't even looking forward to the swim back lol!
For some strange reason we both noticed that the trek and swims back upstream were somehow warmer than on the way in! :-k
At first I figured maybe our limbs were just numb from being so cold but I kid you not that the longest swim through the white box was downright warm and 100% enjoyable even at 6pm at night! I actually took my time floating around, gazed at my surroundings and just relaxed during that very surprising swim.

Long walk back to my SUV which was parked all the way back by Meadow Canyon about a mile past Calloway Butte heading back towards the 260 but with great company and good conversation it made the walk back go by quick! We also caught a glimpse of the flames of the wildfire outside of Strawberry, it actually looked fairly close during one portion of our walk!

*Can anyone review my route and tell me what in the heck did my RS app do? I feel like it jumped directly to my location on top of the canyon rim once resuming the app because it looks like as if we made the hike back up directly and diagonally up the canyon walls which obviously did not happen, it also messed up my mileage I believe as well. I assume it's because it became paused once we stopped and I didn't press
Resume until reaching the canyon edge on the hike out due to my phone being dry bagged.
