With all of the water flowing down from the mountain, I felt like I was in the Sierras!
I ran into 4-5 different groups on my way up, and another solo hiker on the way down.
Josephine Saddle, where Old Baldy and Super Trail meet, is a great place to take a break. I stopped there on the way down and let my dog take a little nap.
The upper portion of the Super Trail has suffered some burn, and there's a good amount of sun exposure there, as well as a lot of downed trees across the trail. That was probably the least pleasant part of the trail, but I'm just nitpicking really. The whole trail is great. It's well maintained, with excellent signage.
Highly recommended. |
