Black Mesa Loop - Superstition Mtns

Saturday morning trail run from First Water TH. Arrived at 6 a.m. Several cars were already in the parking area, as well as a tent camper. I did the loop clockwise. Used my headlamp for the first 2 miles. Didn't see a soul till about a mile from the end, when I passed two hikers headed the opposite direction on Dutchman. I thought I might see a little more running water, given the rain earlier this week. No such luck. Some pools here and there and somewhat muddy conditions on the trail.

On my drive out on First Water Rd, I passed 3 full buses of students from Glendale Union HS District. Wonder what they were planning with 100+ teenagers. (?)
