| no partners | | | This round trip hike started at Bargaman Park and headed south to just west of Turkey Mountain. I followed a two track the whole way to Turkey Mountain. I found out later that I missed the trail at Turkey Tank that heads southeast over a hill and ends back along the road I was on just south of Gonzales Tank. This section of trail is 1.75 miles long and takes you up 200 feet only to drop you back down 200 feet to the same road. Not sure what the purpose was. The way I went was 2 miles long on a gradual downhill slope (would of even been less if I didn't get confused at Gonzales Tank). On the way back I took the trail. Nice fairly level walk through pines, Just watch the Arizona Trail signs when walking along roads, this will not be the first time I have done this. There was no water along this trail except in Tanks. |
