This hike was a redue of a portion of a hike I did a year ago but was confused as to which way the Arizona Trail went around Mahan Mountain. The trail goes to the west of Mahan Mountain and connects up with the Bargaman Park trail at FR 135a. I will be hiking that trail and then returning via FR 135a around Mahan Mountain on the East side and reconnecting up to my start point. Both routes are really nice hikes through pine forests and meadows. I'm glad I didn't have to choose between the two by doing both.
