I returned to a section I've been to before with a plan to visit some cliff-bands I didn't have the time and energy to see last time. I walked along the base, past some of these previous spots, and took a few zoom pictures of petroglyphs at the top of the cliff.
When I got to a "new section" I walked up to the upper band and found more petroglyphs as expected. For the most part they were fainter and less impressive than the ones I saw on the adjacent cliffs but it's always fun to find new ones.
When I got to a notable overlook I found some grinding stones and scattered decorations on top and an interesting spot where the cliff had collapsed scattering some petroglyphs on the side of the hill.
I looped back on the mesa top - nice walking in clean low desert. |
