Took the kids to hike Mount Union. They were pleasantly surprised at the amount of snow on the trail (about 80% of the way was snow covered), and spent nearly as much time playing in the fluffy white stuff as they did hiking. We parked along Walker Road, walked to the end, up 285, then 284 to the top. Climbed the fire tower for better views, had a snack, then headed back down the trail. It was 34 degrees at the start, 50 when we finished, sunny the entire way and almost no breeze. Perfect day for this. We only saw three other people, shortly after we had started our way back down from the summit. Also saw three deer. Had a late lunch in Prescott, then headed back to the Valley.
