Ok so, Route Scout said 5.54 miles and 1782' AEG.
Mapmyhike said 5.11 miles and 1335' AEG.... going to go with what MapMyHike said. I still love you Route Scout, like a red headed step child.
Another day in gods country.
Launched off the deck down to the old Pickerill Mill then looped around down Poachers Row and up trail 285. In winter months I follow the Hassayampa Drainage when there is no one up here (cuts through some private property). Took the Hikers Express North Ridgeline assault to the north saddle summit (1/2 mile up the normal trail). Someone stole the "geo-cache" from the guts of "Karen" (the big cairn). We took five at the helipad then off to summit Davis. Fire watch John was gone. Got to Davis nipple and what.... the HAZ summit register is GONE! Really? The left the litter and debris (which we collected) but took the register. This is the third register to be taken/removed, first Tritle, then Maverick, now Davis.... GRRRRRR!!! Bastids. Guess I will have to hike Sun Devil Peak next to see if they took that one too. |
