Stashed my pseudo Wally World cruiser bike at mile six and started the hiking from there.
The whole area below the LDR in this area might as well be named Hells Couple of Acres and Beyond because it’s definitely rough country but since it’s the same stuff I’ve been trailblazing through lately I charged through it like a ravage wildebeest.
Encountered 7-9 elk a few cows and some young small bulls still holding their antlers, I gave them space and curved around them.
Daylight was closing in and I didn’t quite make it to HHA but being under a .40 mile distance to Bootleg Spring qualifies as the general vicinity.
Made it back to my bike just before dark and rode back to Flowing Springs where I got picked up, definitely a better alternative then my usual leg workout routine indoors at the gym.
