| no partners | | Checked the rain logs and saw a surprising .41 inches of rain for my neck of the woods which motivated me to check out the neighborhood water park.
I arrived to mud and puddles which was a bummer but I hid my bike and set off hiking in search of more “sheds”
Upon my arrival to my stashed biked I had to stop immediately in my tracks because I heard what sounded like flowing water but I didn’t believe it!
I ran down to the canyon and was greeted with the wildest surprise of flowing water!
It did not rain at all where I was that morning and did not seem to be raining anywhere above the watershed but I think it just took time for the ground to become more saturated and for the water to seep through all of last year’s flood debris.
I got inside the canyon just as the water was accumulating and was literally able to watch it give life to this canyon for the first time since last summers monsoons.
I even unclogged some boulders, logs and leaves to speed up the process and was able to watch the main lower falls start flowing in a matter of seconds, which for whatever reason was the most satisfying experience!
