| no partners | | An awesome area of Canyon Creek I’ve been wanting to visit for quite some time and since WMAT’s website has finally been updated and the permits are now easily purchasable I figured it would be a great time!
Not to mention I wanted to find something nice and easy with water to relax and truck camp at so this was perfect.
Explored all throughout the creek which just like the far upper section was for the most part easily navigable with minimal bushwhacking and made travel more efficient by getting the feet wet.
The side canyons stole the show and it was unexpectedly the random unamed drainages that seemed to boast the most water for whatever reason.
Bigger marked side canyons that I planned on checking out were dry but there were a handful of random no name mini canyons that had all sorts of treasures.
Warm weather led me to play in the water and utilize the natural slip-n-slide for some recreational fun.
Tending to sunburned skin, swimming and turning on the A/C for the first time has it already feeling like summer. |
