| no partners | | Always a solid hike, and I hadn't done it since 2011. The times I hiked here before 2011 were also pre-HAZ!
There were quite a few people out for a hike, since it was a Saturday. I met a young trail runner who told me he was doing it three times in one day. I had noticed him more than once, coming and going, and had remarked we had the same brand of shoes (Altras) and he stopped to ask me how I like mine.
I'd like to really be able to ID the lizards of Arizona. I made a stab at it with "Yarrow's Spiny Lizard." Anyone who knows if this is correct please let me know. Thanks!
Took a long break on the top, despite the wind, and another long break on the way down. Met @Hiking_Fool who was hiking with the Kactus Kickers from Phoenix, and met a woman from the SAHC, who knew all my friends in that club but she and I had not met before. I lived in Tucson 13 years, and it's a "small town."
