Been wanting to check out this area for a while now. Seeing that @joebartels went through a few years back and seemed to give it a good review figured today was a good day!

Wolf Creek was flowing from the get go and had solid flow most of the way occasionally going underground. Very apparent this area has seen some serious flooding post Goodwin Fire. Tons of Sediment. This canyon was one of the few in the area that had forest and unfortunately the Fire did some damage.

Some stretches were not so bad but much of it got torched pretty bad. Hard to tell though with how green the area was with this part of the Bradshaw’s having a great monsoon so far.

Continued walking right down the middle of the creek which was smooth sailing. Just before the Crystal Springs green belt if you’ll call it the creek dried up completely for a decent stretch before coming back to life!

Crystal springs was a jungle to say the least! So much green and water (and mosquitoes) There was a faint trail but was very overgrown. This area was left pretty much untouched by the fire as I thought. It was beautiful in here and no doubt in my mind holds water year round. Would like to come back without the bugs

Decided on the way home to check out Little Wolf Creek and hiked it to the confluence with Wolf Creek and then some. At this point there was some serious flow down Wolf Creek it was an unexpected treat!
