Hiked up from Washington Park. 52 degree start at 7am, 77 degree at finish at 11:30. Easy trail to follow. In the trees, green everywhere, water to the left and right. Very pleasant hike up to the RR Tunnel split. The first sign you get to that directs you to the RR Tunnel is INCORRECT. Continue on the main trail to the next small sign 2 switchbacks up. Here you will find an easy enough trail to follow. After a bit, the trail becomes a scramble up the side of the mountain over loose rocks and gravel. Great views and fun trail. Saw a coral snake on the road section returning to the truck.
