Returned to Mount Union to beat the heat in Phoenix. This year we did Union/Davis from Potato Patch hiking up Dandrea to the saddle, headed over to Davis, and finished it off with a trip up to visit John in the lookout tower. On the way down Walker road we saw a giant coyote, some cows strolling down the road, and a whole bunch of turkeys. 59 degrees @ 6:30 at the trail head was very refreshing start to the day. After the hike, we took the jeep down the 261 road to 5 points and Breezy Pines with a stop at the Poland/Walker tunnel. Lunch at Lucky's BBQ in Dewey was the cherry on top!
