Great cloud cover and noticeably cooler temperatures made for absolute perfect hiking conditions.
Always bound to see elk, deer and cattle out here but I encountered a beautiful healthy coyote hanging out in a side canyon pool that truly had the most striking coat I’ve ever seen, a rich dark brown color that was almost wolf like.
Predators of all sorts seem to love the many mellow canyons around here as the scat trails show it along with the countless amounts of carcasses throughout the area.
Covered some solid ground in the canyons and a little bit in the hills, just slowly but surely trying to cover those 729,600 acres of land out here ;) |
