On the way home from camping on Anderson Mesa and wanted to stretch my legs so decided to wander around the Willow Valley area.

Hot, hot and hot even at 10am it was just arid and warm for September so I immediately dipped into a side canyon for relief.

Saw three coues bucks, found water and some elk remains nothing special just the usual exploring.

Still want to do the nearby Willow Valley Arch one day but it’s a little warm for the dog and maybe I’ll wait until true late Autumn.
