| no partners | | Another weekend roaming around high country canyons with my loyal adventure pup.
Feels like I haven’t done any normal hikes in awhile but there is something to be enjoyed about off trail exploring with no real definitive destination all while paying close attention to everything in the woods.
As I was about to fall asleep early after a hearty day of hiking I looked up and feel asleep to the Perseid meteor shower I totally forgot about which was a pleasant surprise.
No rain at all Friday or Saturday but around 1pm on Sunday the area got hit hard and fast but some random storm cells that seem to come and go within a matter of mintues and return once more.
No people seen all weekend besides on the roads, just elk, deer and solitude like usual.
Plenty of water to be found out there right now, surface water, pools and even clear flowing water in some of the canyons and draws. |
