| no partners | | Wanting to create a new official route for myself: The total to the top from the VC is 2.12 miles and 738 feet or 717 feet in a mile and 1/3rd.
It's so nice to be able to hike comfortably in the afternoon. I hadn't hiked since our backpack over Thanksgiving due to a rather large blister that's taking its sweet time to heal plus I've been busy taking our estate wares to Sedona to sell.
I was surprised the Foothills Palo Verde Tree was only partially decorated. The brittle bush are blooming here and there and it looks like the Shaw Butte Trail could start popping poppies; I got a pic of a little one. There is also some other prospects that have very large leaves of which I took a picture. Can't wait to see what it's going to be.
Oh, I also scampered a bit on my way down (scampered is Tibber trying to run slowly). I paid for it on Monday though as my quads hurt.
PS On the way home from work I saw quite a large globe mallow in full bloom alongside the road.  |
