We went to the south Eagletail TH and if a hundred people went to the Ben Avery TH, one went here. This was a good choice since mindless desert wandering is our forte. We both caught sight of a rock that had been turned over and other rocks that didn't get there by themselves. We found the shards of a nice size cooking olla and then knapping flakes. Of all the Native things we've seen there was something about seeing where someone sat and made projectile points that was really special. We figured the olla may have broken or cracked while cooking, because why leave something as valuable as this behind. We're going back, there is a lot to explore here. |
