On the third Day of the Payson excursion my first hike was the Boulder Loop. This loop is made up of both the North and South Boulder Trails of The Payson Area Trail System (PATS). This is a short 3.2 mile loop but packs a lot of punch scenery wise. Pine and Cypress forest with a running Stewart Creek and a generous sprinkling of Granite Boulders. I started this trail at around 6 in the morning so I caught the early morning sun rays. Recommend this hike if you are in the area with a little time to kill. There are plenty of better times to do this hike than June but even this time of year was nice. With only 330 feet of AEG, you could do this on an extended lunch break from work even if you are in a suit and tie (I would recommend losing the tie though).
