Canyon views are the highlight. Crossover along the creek is typically a sauna since this hike usually comes to mind when the mercury is pinging inferno. Walking the creek would undoubtedly be more enjoyable than sweating the forested banks. Stubborn won(?) and stayed dry!
Bruce had it in his mind the ascent up Maxwell is gradual. We took a break midway up gradual =)

Great add-on hike if in the area. That said I know I like it more than most so don't expect much... Pines on the rolling terrain are the highlight for myself.
