| no partners | | A nice and easy day with a friend and the pups enjoying a groomed trail and exploring another new stretch of ECC.
Once down in the canyon the trail pretty much disappears due to the incredibly dense green vegetation and abundance of water which made walking directly in the creek itself the best method of travel.
Had to take cover in a Coconino sandstone alcove to take refuge from the storm, nothing crazy just a solid half hour of decent precipitation with nearby lightning.
Instead of the out and back we proceeded to a nice horseshoe bend with a sweet ridge that looked doable on topo, quick scan with the binos and the top cliff band made me leery but a nice game path easily weaved through all of it and we were back on top in a jiffy. |
