I always knew about the mixup but saw this as a great area to explore and nice drop in point into JC where it is more forested and seemed like a great area for wildlife.
The old two track runs all the way out the western edge of a little peninsula and from there it is an easy and gradual couple hundred feet to the canyon bottom.
My dog and I spent the majority of the day along the rim and foothills up top but did go down into the canyon both upstream and downstream to check it out.
It only actually rained for about a half hour but other than that it was intermittent sprinkling followed up by sunshine and peace.
Lots of land to be explored out here in this great area. |
