| partners | | Extensive research and a solid trial and error scouting trip finally led to a sacred seldom seen site that has been on my mind for many years.
We camped relatively nearby the night before to get a early start knowing heat would be a factor as a lot of the hike is exposed both in terms of lack of shade and the many precipices.
After a fun and spicy off trail excursion we caught sight of the majestic dwelling and from there on out I was in complete shock and awe as out of all the sites I’ve been to this may be the most incredible for many different reasons from location, preservation, etc..
On our way out of the canyon I unknowingly walked by a rattlesnake, Beth came second and got the warning rattle on a thin ledge with a sheer drop on one side and the snake and cacti on the other but thankfully no harm was done.
A true fulfilling experience having the privilege to witness such an amazing place so we celebrated by eating four year old Bessie the grass fed Verde Valley cow that happened to be the special burger at “That Brewery” Friday night. |
