Quick little stop to an old favorite after hiking all day roughly 10 miles NW of this area.
Encountered a healthy young bull and two cow elk enjoying the water and bounty of food as we entered the park.
Antler growth is truly something spectacular this year due to the feed growth caused by that record snowmelt moisture, every bull I’ve seen from young to mature is sporting the healthiest possible rack and has the hunting community in a frenzy with the amount of giant bulls and bucks out this year.
Great little easy stroll finished in the dark to top off a great day up in some of my favorite country.
