We were glad that we did this little overnighter on Friday. As we came back up late Saturday morning, dozens of people were heading down into the canyon. The rain in the surrounding areas Friday afternoon cooled it off quite a bit. I was dreading the hot and muggy feeling down in the canyon before we went, but was pleasantly surprised by how cool and comfortable it was once we got down there.
