The last time I did this trail was in the last century (1999 to be exact) with my pastor/friend who is 25 years my senior. Now I'm trailing behind my 13 year old son. We picked a beautiful day for it and only saw two other parties on the trail. We didn't have time to go all the way to the tower, but enjoyed a breezy lunch on the rim with great views. Conversation was great and I look forward to continue passing the baton on to this kid.
