Gary and I decided to hike this somewhat spontaneously. We were on the trail by 6:45 and in the shade for the first half. We enjoyed a quiet trail and an extended break at the saddle where we may or may not have shared a flask of Crown. The trip down was precarious for some reason, but we made it safely. We wrapped it up at the Blue Adobe for post-hike lunch and libations. It was a perfect day to be on the trail.
