I decided to back to this area that I just found last month. I figured Andy would be interested and he was. I downloaded a bunch of tracks posted by other HAZ members to give myself a map of the trails in the area, and kind of winged as we went along. It was basically a longer version of the loop I did last month, plus we did the short cutoff trail at the south end near the trailhead. the only off trail section was the washes at the north end of the loop, which were easy to walk, and had tire tracks in them anyway

. The nicest part was the northwest end of the loop before the washes and after where I hiked last time. The scenery out here is really nice, and the trails easy to follow and to hike.

The weather was really nice. Very cool the whole time, and cloudy. the clouds gave us a break from the sun and prevented the need to have my hood up to prevent sunburn. Only saw 2 other hikers the whole time. At some point I think the word will get out about this area and the trails will get more crowded here.
