| no partners | | My physical therapy stint ended today. Shortly after I arrived at open, the staff dawned protective gear, leaving me the only one unmasked. I decided to say goodbye at that point and canceled my future appointments on my way out. Time to hike!
I wasn’t expecting to hike today so I went to Usery and hit my favorite go to trail. I started from the big dirt staging area about a quarter mile past the Wind Cave TH. I thought I’d saunter up to the pass and back to see how things felt. This route is representative of the hikes I like so it will be a good benchmark.
My biggest concern was going down the mountain. That's been the problem. Not today, though. Things felt about as natural as they have in more than a year. After a bit I was rock hopping down the mountain and having a blast. Whether I was done with PT or not remains to be seen, but I'm calling it done.
The weather was as good as it gets. A nice breeze made it better. I passed a dozen people along the trail, all seemingly enjoying their hikes as much as I was mine. I finished around noonish. |
