Morning workout hike. It was pleasant enough outside that I took my time, not getting started until after 8:30. Late enough that the crowds had thinned and I didn't have to worry too much about distancing. I hiked CCW, passing four hikers, two joggers and one mountain bike, all headed the opposite way. Took a break in the shady area just before the pass and let the cooling breeze wash over me before continuing.

The saguaro fruit are opening up. Cactus wrens were having a field day. The Superstitions looked pretty good. I didn't see much smoke at all as I rounded the SE corner of the loop.

I was hoping for three miles per hour today. Got close. Every hike is getting a little easier. Just in time for summer.
