This was an early morning stretch-the-legs hike. Five of us met at the Golden Eagle TH in Fountain Hills and made our way to Bell Pass and back. The other 4 hikers had never been to the Dixie Mine or the nearby petroglyphs, so we stopped by there on the way back.

We saw a few rabbits on the way out, but no other wildlife.

We encountered one trail runner and 3 other hikers, so the trails certainly weren't crowded.

Wildflowers Observation Light
There are still a few flowers in bloom, but they have mostly faded. Prickly pear cactus, teddy bear cholla, and saguaros are starting to bloom though.
