| no partners | | I decided to escape a bit of the heat in the Valley and head up the Beeline to hike Mount Ord again. We left the TH a few minutes before 6:00 AM, and it felt a bit cool at the TH. There were a few clouds which kept the sun at bay a bit, and there was a nice breeze for most of the hike.
It was actually a bit cool at the summit, with the cloud cover and breeze. It was a bit hazy though, so the views weren't as good as normal.
This was the 3rd time that I hiked Mount Ord this month, and the 7th time that I have either done Ord or Little Ord in 2020.
We saw 2 other hikers, 2 mountain bikers, 2 jeeps coming up FR 27, and someone who had stopped his vehicle to take pictures on FR 626. It certainly wasn't crowded, but it was a little busier than normal for a weekday. |
|
Wildflowers Observation Light There are still some nice areas of wild flowers along FR 27. |
