The area along San Francisco Wash is not as pristine as the Wupatki cinder fields - there are many primitive roads and some private property and many of the sites you can drive to. But I combined the "drive-tos" with a nice walk in the woods to make a decent day out of it.
Having issues with my camera. Lens error cause by "sensed resistance" when it tries to turn on and extend out. This means dirt/grit or mechanical damage - either could happen when the camera is dropped with the lens extended - I dropped mine into grit a month ago. So my pics each needed one or two extra camera starts with battery removal to clear errors. Apparently a factory refurb (at about half the camera price) is the only official fix. PM me if you have another idea... |
