Had to keep the Hikes short due to the weather, which was pretty unsettled most of the stay. More on that when I do a Car Camping triplog.
Checked out the town of Greer a bit and then hit the Trail here. Tried to go clockwise at first through the loop, but couldn't find the trail quick enough at a road crossing, so went CCW instead. A walk through a Forest, encountered some Springs and walked around a small hill. Nice little exercise to get things moving after a long week. The clouds were already threatening to storm at 10:00 A.M. which I thought was unusual, but that would be the trend most of the week. I looked up another optionally short jaunt in Greer and headed there to get a bit in after finishing up this one. |

Wildflowers Observation Light It's hit or miss in the White Mountains due to late rains. Not a banner year for sure. Very dry and Wildflowers that ARE currently blooming look stressed, thin and weak. Maybe in a couple of weeks if the Rains of this week continue. |
