I started my walk at the Lake Pleasant Table Mesa Road parking area. The walk starts out pretty easy, going down to the Agua Fria riverbed, where it crosses, then follows the the road to the Lake Pleasant boat launch. The lake level is down so there was no water to worry about and the road was very dusty. The bit before the launch is nice as it is through a mesquite grove and is shady and enjoyable.

After the boat launch I continued along the dried lakebed, road. It was very dusty. Along here, I saw two burros on the way out and four on the way back.

After a time, I cut across and onto Cow Creek road, which I followed past Indian Mesa and to Tule Creek where I stopped to find a geocache. There is a concrete platform where Tule Creek runs. I have no idea what its purpose was. It doesn't dam the creek. Strange. Tule Creek was dry.

After finding that cache, I turned back onto Cow Creek road to Indian Mesa. There is a steep road that goes partially up the mesa that I took. Then there's a path that connects to the main trail. Just before reaching the top of the mesa, there was another geocache that I stopped to find. After that, I climbed up onto the mesa and wandered around looking at most of the ruins. Most of the ruins are on the west side but there are some on the east too.
