| no partners | | Got an early start just before first light. If you show up at sunrise, good luck finding a parking spot. Lots of people out there hiking with headlamps on.
Hiked up Lost Ranch Mine trail to the National and quite naturally on to Goat Hill. From there I went west on the National down to the connector trail. Instead of going all the way to Bursera, I hiked west on the lower Valley View/Gila/whatever it's called trail. I haven't been on this trail in almost a decade, and I haven't been missing much. Met up with the Bursera trail and took it back.
I read somewhere that hiking has increased 200% since COVID. I believe it. Lots of groups out. Many people wearing masks.
Cold to start with another pretty sunrise. Very pleasant temps later on. Clear air provided nice long range views. |
