Another early start to make sure I get a parking spot and enjoy the new day.
From the Bursera trailhead I hiked up Lost Mine, down Mine Drop/Lost Ranch Mine, up Ruins, then west on National.
Went off trail at the quartz boulders to check out a mine below. Bushwhacked from there down to the Bajada, then onto the National to it's western terminus. Hiked up the Alta trail to Maricopa Peak, then down Alta to the Bajada. Took Bajada east to the Ranger trail then up to the National and Goat Hill. Hiked back to the car via Lost Mine and a little bit of Pyramid.
Cool and breezy which was perfect for a long hike. Clouds helped make the scenery even more dramatic. :)
