Claire and I decided to take advantage of the magnificent weather for a short jaunt close to home. After waiting for the bulk of the rain to stop we headed out to clearing skies and none of those magnificent waterfalls we knew the rest of the instaworld would be out futilely searching for. I thought it would be fun to wade down the river in Pima Wash but hate that trailhead, so I drew up a loop with Young Man and and Gabe.

After the Everest-esque climb to the ridge, we splashed through HV before heading down the wash. It was just at the start that for absolutely no reason at all I pulled a Hippy and assured myself a month on IR. I was surprised I was able to self-rescue, but knew that it wouldn't stay that way for long. So I asked Santa for bags of frozen peas and RICE. :pk:
