Parked at this small TH to avoid crowds & costs. 1/2 correct, still supposed to pay. Less than a mile in you exit this sandy patch and jump on the santan trail.

From here there are many options available. We followed this flat trail till u could turn left for some actual EG up a rocky path. I then climbed another small peak which is unmarked.

We then climbed to what may be the highest point up there. We chose an out and back from there. As stated in write up, many mtn bikes. Could return there and take on another hike of this distance on mostly different trails.
