1st trip
Found a good reason be be in the greater Tucson area and decided to make a second trip up Wasson Peak, this time via a new route (to me) King Canyon Trail. Despite the description page here on HAZ I'll hold a no King's protest; it's singular, no s, no apostrophe. It's also sorta boring, but that's been my opinion of almost all the trails in SNPW. There's some pretty desert out here, but nothing remarkable and I do sometimes wonder how this ever earned national park status.

King and Sweetwater are drab rocky desert. That upper stretch of Hugh Norris from the King junction down to Sendero is the highlight stretch. Sendero and Gould are back to hot, rocky, hell. Ticked up to 71 for our finish, which shouldn't be unpleasant in theory, but in reality is sorta warm. Rawr.
