Camped near the TH. Only got down to about 50 degrees but I should have packed a little warmer but no biggie. Daytime temps only in the 70s. Planned on hiking further but the direct sunlight was getting the best of me and being short on time once again I turned around about halfway up what I call South Fork of Barnhardt Creek. Good water flow in south fork and Barnhardt Creek. Paid a visit to Garden Spring on the way back. Unofficial trail and could use some maintenance. Spring was flowing about a gallon a minute maybe more. Saw deer and coyote tracks. Lots of bird activity. Smelled strong skunk up south fork area (below mist waterfall area) but never saw the offender. Flowers here and there. Still surprisingly green in the canyon and more water than I expected.

Seems to flow in more than 1 direction but most of it flows east into diversion pipe.
