65 degrees at the trailhead and sunny felt nice and warm. 10 degrees cooler on the north slope which stays shaded most of the day this time of year which is nice. Warmer back in the sun after crossing the ridgeline on top. Some Brittlebush starting to come alive from the early Dec rain but more rain definitely needed. After sunset temps quickly plunged to mid 40s, luckily had my winter coat packed away. Waited for nightfall to see the stars.
