Great day! Temps in mid to upper 70s. Saw deer, snake and squirrels.. lots of squirrels which is the first I have seen in the Mazatzals in several years. Flowing water in this unnamed creek that I will call Saddle Creek. Best of all trees are returning after the 2012 Sunflower Fire. Felt 10 degrees cooler under the taller trees. Passed 3 other hikers coming down as I was going up. 3 young adults, 1 with bright colored hair that could help them be spotted if lost! Chatted briefly and continued on. Nice kids. Trail was if good condition. Thanks to anyone reading who may have helped recently.
