Staying on roads instead of cross country because of the number of snakes this season.
We parked at a wide spot in the road and walk for a hour or so.
Lot more people out and about this morning than usual.
One guy had a lot of guns and was shooting across the canyon.
Another drove by and we later saw him walking his dog.
and then..... then......
We heard a cow running like crazy. Usually they just wander around with their nose next to the ground but this was was moving crazy fast. We thought that maybe something spooked it and then we heard yelling and whistling.
Turns out we got there as two cowboys were moving a herd of cattle to a new area.
We watched them as they passed by very close and then followed a bit and watched them go into a canyon and gate that I had never seen before.
Got some time off coming up and now I know where I'm going to go. |
