| partners | | We first started doing this hike 11 years ago. It has never disappointed for color and worked out great for Debby's birthday color hike.
A chilly, windy, cloudy 55 to start, so the colors were a bit muted on the way down, but were everywhere.
We headed up the meadow to Buck Springs cabin where we met our only people on the day, a family that had just driven up.
On the return trip we headed the sun popped out a bit more, so we altered our route a bit and headed back up the way we came.
Much more vibrant colors this time on the way up. We took our time to take it all in.
Colors should be good here for the next week. The are below freezing temps forecasted in the next 7 days up there.
The rim road is in great shape and it was easy to keep speeds around 30-40mph |
