We had planned to walk the 4 miles from the lower to the upper falls but time did not permit for the 8 mile round trip hike. This was a pleasant and scenic walk around the Upper Tahquamenon Falls. Fall colors were at their peak making the views spectacular. The trails around the falls are either paved or wood plank with stairs. This area is a must stop anytime if on the Upper Peninsula of Michigan but during fall color change is the best time.
Our next stop is Colorado to the Rocky Mountain National Park. Hiking should be real good there. On our travels to Colorado while passing through Nebraska we stopped off at a farm where they were harvesting the corn and asked if we could checkout the combine, the farmer said no problem and asked if I wanted to go along for a ride. I know this isn’t about hiking but it was one of the most exciting things I did on this trip. |
