Continuing east on this trail will take you to Bulldog Canyon Trail Head, a trail I was on a few years ago. The whole length of this trail is in good condition with some trail work just done on the far east end. This was also kind of an uneventful trail but the heat (80 degrees) and the rough terrain around the middle section of the trail made it a bit more challenging. The views weren’t that spectacular unless you consider looking over housing developments to the south good. There were some great views of the Superstitions to the southeast. There were also some interesting rock formations along the trail that kept you a bit entertained. This is a connector trail that leads from the Goldfields and the Usery Mountains and not one you would take for its scenery. I just took it because I hadn’t been on it before. There is a trail that connect to this trail from Ironwood road. I headed back to my dive and pizza for dinner. |
